Coastal Woods Campground | RV & Tent Camping in Wells, ME
Quiet, scenic, and conveniently located, Coastal Woods Campground is open May 15th – October 12th when the weather is at its most beautiful and the flowers are blooming. Equally pleasing to Canadians who want to visit the USA and Florida folks who want to escape hot Southern summers, our campground is a vacation destination for Maine residents and travelers from everywhere
A shared love of nature, camping, and the outdoors is what attracted Eric and Kimberlee Smith to one another. Then they discovered that each of them had come from families with lake houses–he in New Hampshire and she in Maine – and that made their destiny inevitable. Now the Smiths have two young daughters, Chloe and Nora, as well as a Labradoodle named Tuukka. The Smith family welcomes you to Coastal Woods Campground, where every family can feel at home. In fact, despite their youth, Chloe and Nora have jumped right into the running of the campground by suggesting exciting new activities… movie nights with popcorn was the girls’ idea.
Daughters Dream Up Big Ideas
Parents Kimberlee and Eric want their daughters to grow up learning a family business that makes a difference in other peoples’ lives by spreading happiness. So far, the girls enjoy building sand castles, looking for crabs, playing with their boogie boards, and making friends with other children. And friendship is what it’s all about, isn’t it?
Tuukka loves to run around on the beach and play with other dogs. Your doggie will love it here too. Thank you for reading all about Coastal Woods Campground. Hope to see you real soon!

Great campground. Lovely people. We are seasonal campers and would recommend itPosted on MA RazcmedTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Camp ground is small and directly off highway. It wasn't bad. If you are used to long walks/runs on your own or with your dog, you will have to head out to the main road. Traffic is abundant and 55÷ but shoulders are spacious for the most part. We had booked for 5 days as it was convenient to the things we were doing at different locations close to the camp grounds. The highway was loud at our site (12a). People were friendly and dogs are welcome so that is a plus. Map indicates a stream at 12a, but it's not a stream, just a culvert.Posted on john SullivanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice place nice people little bit tight for a big rig. Didn’t like the brown water from spicket and didn’t like a lot of people like to walk there dogs on your campsite and let the dogs poop on your site and not clean it upPosted on K. Competitive price to other nearby sitesPosted on Brian MichaudTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a tad behind, we stayed here back in May 2024, however wanted to add this: Coastal Woods is an affordable, perfectly located campground near the heart of Wells. Right off 95 you have easy access to this well laid out campground that offers secure access, clean centrally located restrooms, fun and safe playground, a small field for additional play, and a clean/well stocked camp store. The owners are active and friendly, providing an escape from the everyday. Activities were thoughtful and fun and had a good crowd for local music, wood fired pizza, and a beer tent from a local brew house. A quick drive into Wells, then onto Ogunquit, you have easy access (without staying in the hustle and bustle of Rt 1) to all area attractions. Because of the 95 access, you are able to quickly travel to multiple tourist cities near Wells (including Sanford, Kennebunk, Kennebunk Port, York, Elliot, Portsmouth, Scarbrough, Portland, and South Portland). This campground is well laid out with some oversized lots, allowing for easy maneuverability with larger campers. After staying at 18 different camp sites last year, this campground rates highly on our list and we cannot wait for our next stay!
